Family Portrait Session in Newport, RI – RI Family Photography

This session was a year in the making.  Last year we tried and tried to get to the beach, but with parents as busy as I am and bad weather we couldn’t make it happen!  Finally we all had a free day AND it didn’t rain!!  Yay!  I’ve done cake smashes for two of these little girls and now look at them!  I can not believe how big they have gotten!!  This family has been letting me take photos of them since I started this little venture.  They have sent so many referrals my way.  Those are two things that mean the world to me and I can not thank them enough!

Two Year Portrait at the Studio – RI Baby Photography

This little guy is so cute! I mean really just so so cute!  I did his cake smash session last year when he turned a year old.  He stood up for the first time right in front of my camera!  Now here he is a year later, running all over the place, showing me his train collection.  It never ceases to amaze me how much can change in just one year.  Another thing that never changes is how truly honored that people let me capture the growth of their little ones year after year.

Newport Beach Portrait – RI Portrait Photography

You really can’t beat the beach for photos.  The secret is to do it at the right time of day when the sun is all yellow and “glowy”!  Ok the sun is always yellow and “glowy” but if you want nice portraits you have to get the timing right.  We had it down for this portrait in Newport!  Korey is the kind of little girl you envision when one imagines a portrait on the beach.  Mom and Dad  picked out the perfect dress and even brought a pretty shell for a prop.  Let’s not forget to mention the hair!  A big shout out to Mom for maintaining that long beautiful hair!  I have a daughter and know what it’s like to brush a little girl’s hair…  It’s not fun.  Not only was Korey’s hair perfect but she also had the cutest starfish barrette in the back.  My favorite part of the session was at the end when Korey (and myself) got right in the ocean to take some of the best photos of the day!

Second Year Portrait with Brooklyn – RI Child Photography

I met Brooklyn last year at War Memorial Park, a place that has now become one of my favorite spots for photos!  This year I had the pleasure of visiting Brook at her house!  Lucky girl lives right next door to a horse barn!  She is two and a half and already taking horse riding lessons.  Since she loves her horsey neighbors mom and dad thought it would be nice to incorporate them into the session!  Brooklyn has changed so much in the past year but one thing has stayed the same…  her insane cuteness!  She is a doll!!  So happy that these guys found me and continue to use me to document the family!

Providence Portrait Session – RI Portrait Photography

I met this family a year ago in Bristol for a family portrait session.  Last year baby brother was just a little peanut who didn’t like to stand on grass.  Now I could hardly catch him!  We walked around the east side of Providence taking advantage of all the pretty old houses and springtime blossoms.  This seemed like more of a playdate for the kids than a portrait session.  They ran around, did so much jumping and made friends with a neighborhood cat!  Thank goodness for snacks!  It was the only way they would take a break and sit!  When in doubt bust out the goldfish!
