I met this little lady back at last year’s holiday mini shoots. It went so well that this year Mommy decided to go for a full portrait session. The new mini set was just finished the day before so they had the privelige of breaking it in! Mom was smart to bring bubbles and her favorite monkey toy. We did shots around the building and even got to go outside. You got to love our crazy New England weather!
Most of the time I do my newborn sessions within the first two weeks of life. Sometimes it just isn’t possible and we have to wait. In this case we did have to move back the session a couple of weeks. This little guy was a month old when we came to get his photos taken. I actually like doing pictures at this time because the babies are a little more alert. We get to see their beautiful eyes! Obviously Mom and Dad are over the moon for this little guy. The proof is in the pictures!
Way back when I did my first mini sessions in this very same spot I met this family for the first time. Big Brother was only a less than a year old. He had the most gorgeous blue eyes I’ve every seen! Fast forward and here they are again. This time there is another beautiful baby boy who also was lucky enough to get the same color eyes. I love seeing families grow and having the opportunity to capture it for them is an honor.
I’m so happy that family saw my photos up at Bellani Maternity because they are really just a pleasure to work with. I’ve had the honor of taking Calvin’s photos since he was… well in Mommy’s belly! The first picture I took of his face was of an ultrasound photo. Now here he is making a mess of his first birthday cake! He is turning out to be quite the handsome devil. Who is lucky enough to blue eyes like that?! Can’t wait for the opportunity to capture the next phase in Calvin’s life and see the family again!
