Family Portrait at Colt State Park – RI Family Photography

I’ve been taking pictures for this family for quite a few years, but this time there was something different…  A new family member!  Ever since I met this now Big Sister she has had a baby doll at every session.  Also at every session we would talk about how badly she wanted a baby sister.  So instead of a baby doll she got to bring a real baby – a baby brother!  It’s not a sister, but I didn’t hear any complaints.  If this little guy is as spunky as his sister Mom and Dad have their hands full.  He is certainly just as adorable!  I’m always so happy to be able to document families as they grow and this one is no exception!  Congrats!  You guys make some cute kids!!!

Colt State Park Maternity and Family Portrait Session – RI Family Photography

I had such a great time photographing this beautiful family!  When I met them I was initially impressed by the sharp outfit choices.  If you show up for a portrait session and your child has a pocket square in his jacket be sure that I’m going to get excited!  It’s all in the details!  The entire family had a great vibe and seemed very comfortable being in front of the camera.  All these things make for a happy photographer!  Since this maternity session the baby has been born!!  Dad called and told me that not only has he been a dream for the nurses in the hospital but he has thee most beautiful eyes.  I hope I get to meet this little dude!  Congrats on the new arrival!!  So happy that I was able to capture this happy time in your lives!

Coggeshall Farm Family Portrait in Bristol – RI Family Portrait Photography

Fall is one of the best times of the year for me because I get to see so many of my favorite clients.  Finley and her family are definitely on that list!  This is our third year in a row taking photos at Coggeshall Farm in Bristol, RI.  Although Finley has changed so much in that time some things have not.  Every year Finley brings her favorite doll.  This year Sasha was replaced by her Cabbage Patch Kid, Claudine.  Sorry, Sasha!  Finley also brings some other friends – her puppies!  That means one toddler, one doll and two dogs plus Mommy and Daddy.  Thankfully Mom, Dad and Claudine will happily sit and smile for photos while I try to get everyone else to look at the camera!  All in a day’s work!

Family Portrait Session in Bristol, RI

When you are pregnant with your second child you always think “This baby is going to have everything their older sister had.  Baby books, scrapbooks, tons of photos…”  Unfortunately that doesn’t always happen, but we all make a valiant effort to do so.  My son is definitely going to be mad at me one day (sorry, Max!  Mommy loves you!!).  This family did pictures with their oldest girl and wanted to make sure they got some with their (not so) new addition!  We had the most gorgeous day for these pictures and the light was amazing!  First we stopped by Colt State Park and then it was off to Bristol Harbour Inn where Mom and Dad just happened to get married!  That’s what we call going Full Circle!

Cake Smash Portrait at Colt State Park – RI Baby Photography

This little lady is just one year old, but in that little bit of time I’ve had the privilege of taking her portrait three times.  Mom and Dad wanted newborn pictures, six month old pictures and now first birthday.  They change so much in the first year.  I can remember what she looked like at her newborn session sleeping in a little basket in her backyard.  When I got to see her 6 months later she was so much bigger but still not ready to sit up.  Now here we are at the one year milestone and she is sitting like a pro and even standing up.  They may grow so fast in the first year, but it thankfully slows down a little in time.  Smart Mom and Dad have very nice pictures to document this time so they will remember it forever.
