There is nothing that means more to me than a loyal client and you can’t get more loyal than this family. Think of a milestone in any family and I’ve been there to capture it for these guys. Engagement, Marriage, Pregnancy, First Baby, Holidays, Family Portraits, First Birthday… Yup I’ve done all those sessions for them. They’ve stuck with me as their family photographer. I feel the utmost gratitude to them for this. It is truly an honor. Yesterday I was called in again to take photos of their newest baby, Evie! When Mommy texted me a couple of months ago saying that she was getting her girl I was beyond excited!! I knew there were high hopes for a baby girl this time and that dream came true! Big brother, Caleb, has to share the spotlight now. He has gotten a pretty big spotlight thus far so there is enough to go around. This is a wonderful family with so much love! A big congrats to Mike and Meredith!!!
Yet again my job allowed me to step into the life of an adorable family for a little while. This time I got to meet this happy clan who just added Claire into the mix! She quietly got her photo taken for a good while. Claire is a newborn photographer dream. Her big brother was also on hand for photos, but he was definitely more interested in things besides Claire and I. If there was a theme to this session it has to be Cliff Bars for Kids. This little guy got a couple in return for sitting still and smiling. I am a supported of bribery! It always works. The proof is below…
How cute is this baby!? John was a month old when he came in for his photos. I guess you are never too young to be groomed for your career in the MLB! John couldn’t quite hold his Dad’s bat just yet, but he’ll get there. He might look like a peanut but this is one hungry kid. During this session he spent more time eating than posing. When it was time for photos this guy put on the charm! Never mind “Blue Steele” John gave me his “Mr. Bean” face. Maybe he’ll be a model instead of a baseball player?!
I’ve been doing so many newborn sessions lately that I have to wonder what was going on nine months ago! I had the pleasure of meeting this family at their new home. They had moved in just a month before they added this new little guy to the family. That’s a lot of change in a short time but this family definitely has it together. I was shocked that they had just moved in when I saw the house. They are lucky to have Grandma who was there helping out with the two kids. It does take a village!
I love doing newborn sessions on location. It’s so much easier for the families since they don’t have to lug all that baby gear to my studio. It also makes the session a little more special since the pictures are taken at the house this little person is going to grow up in. Whenever I show up at a family’s house they always have blankets, hats and other special things that they’d like to incorporate into the photos. It is isn’t too often that I show up to a complete set! Mom and Dad surprised me with this beautiful nautical set up that matched the nursery decor. I was so excited! I wanted to steal that nice blue blanket, but I did control myself. It wasn’t easy!
