Hello! My name is Melissa Lacouture — a Rhode Island–based portrait and family photographer specializing in family, branding, and lifestyle photography throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts. For nearly 20 years, I’ve been photographing families, children, and life’s everyday moments, from newborn and branding sessions and family portraits to seasonal mini sessions and studio photography.

I’m also a co-owner and award-winning photographer at M.Studios, where the focus is on wedding photography. This space, however, is dedicated to my portrait, family, and branding sessions.  I’m so glad you’re here!

I offer a variety of portrait photography services, including family sessions, milestone sessions, branding photography, and seasonal mini sessions. I love photographing families on location, and I also work out of a natural-light studio that’s available for portrait sessions, branding shoots, and small gatherings.

Many of the families I photograph return year after year, allowing me to document their lives as they grow. Building long-term relationships with clients is a core part of my work.

Clients often describe me as calm, patient, and efficient… a must when working with young children. I bring years of experience, a strong understanding of family dynamics, and a laid-back presence to every session.

Portrait sessions start at $599.  All sessions include an online viewing gallery, download of high res images and up to one hour of travel.
