Brother and Sister Birthday Portrait Session

I first met Alex when he was three months old. We did photos in this exact same location. He was a little lump in his parents’ arms. Three years later here we are again for his third birthday portraits! Now he is running around, talking, and holding my hand (melted my heart!). Yes, Alex did grow up a bit, but there is one other big change that has happened. He now has a little sister who is just turning one year old!  I say it all the time because it really is my favorite part of my job…  What an honor it is to be able to capture these photos of a family that is growing (in years and quantity).  It really is something that means a lot to me and I can’t say thank you enough.  I know mom and dad once mentioned that they’d like to have four kids!  If that still is the plan we will have to come back to this spot with the entire clan when they get here!

Baby’s First Year Portrait and Cake Smash – RI Baby Photographer

I’ve been doing photos of this little lady’s two older sisters for a while now.  I can’t believe it’s now her turn for her very own cake smash!  A year goes by so, so quick!  We planned to go with the color purple.  I was blown away when mom came in with the most amazing accessories and outfits every!  I mean a baby fascinator?!  We can thank Kayleigh’s Klippies for all the beautiful stuff our fashionable subject is wearing.  Check out her stuff on etsy or at the fabulous Bellani Maternity.  As alway the smash cake was provided by Cake-tique.  Someone must have heard the words “Cake Smash” and didn’t want to disappoint.  Within 10 seconds the cake was on the floor!  You never know what’s going to happen at these sessions!

Sophia’s First Birthday Cake Smash

It was my pleasure to be able to take little Sophia’s first year portraits.  When I asked her parents if she was walking yet I was excited to hear that she wasn’t.  For selfish reasons of course!  I thought she would sit and relax while I took her photos.  I think I must have forgotten what a one year old is like!  Walking or no walking Sophia was all of over the place.  I still managed to get tons of good shots.  Her parents brought quite a wardrobe!  I had so much fun taking her photos in them!  Love the red and white one!  As always our awesome smash cake was made by Cake-tique!

Vanessa’s First Year Portrait with Big Sis Ava

Some girls need a little more glitz than others. Ava and Vanessa certainly fall into this category! These girls were born with a glittery, blinged out spoon in their mouth. When I purchased this backdrop these girls were actually the first people that I thought of. Mom certainly approved and the photo session was booked! Someone had a first birthday coming up so the timing was perfect. As always Lauren from Cake-tique did an amazing job with our cupcake for the smash. Ava was a little jealous that her sister got to eat/destroy all that delicousness. Don’t worry. She did get a taste! (and ps she actually doesn’t even like cake!)

Micheal’s First Year Portrait – RI Baby Photography

One of Michael’s Aunties was nice enough to give a gift certificate for a first year cake smash portrait with me to Michael’s parents. His other Auntie happens to be the fabulous cake designer from Cake-tique that does all my smash cakes!  It would be sort of ridiculous if Michael didn’t do one.  I’m so happy that he did!  I did his mommy’s maternity photos back when he was still cooking. Now here he is turning a year old!  He is such a happy kid and extremely adorable!

The smiles would not stop!

One year old!!
