Emma and Nicholas at Roger Williams Park – RI Children’s Photography

If you follow my site then you must have seen these kids.  How could you forget them?  When their Mom asked me to do some Easter pictures there was a lot of plans.  She was going to get a bunny, but the bunny was too much of a diva.  It couldn’t make it to the shoot because it needed a salon day.  Then she was going to bring some Easter-y kind of stuff for the pictures and forgot it all at home.  For those of you who have more than one kid and a puppy you can understand how these things happen.  When your kids are as cute as Emma and Nicholas you don’t really need anything!  Those eyes are enough cuteness for one person to handle!

Peek–a-boo!

I love these!

This is such a great time for pictures!  All the blooming trees are so colorful.  If you blink you will miss it!  It is here and gone in a flash.  I’m so happy I got to take advantage of them while they are here.

Avery’s First Birthday Cake Smash Part Two – RI Baby Photographer

Part two of Avery’s first year portrait!

The Cake Smash portrait is the new thing to do when your little baby turns a year old.  As a photographer I think it is really fun!  You just don’t know what’s going to happen!  Is the baby going to like it?  Are they going to even know what’s in front of them or worse yet will they care?  Basically you put the cake in place and hope for the best!  At first Avery was more interested in the shredded paper I had put down…

Contemplating this new little pink thing that has appeared…

Didn’t take her long to figure out what to do with it!

And she is happy she did!

Avery’s big sister, Cady, watched her sister enjoy her cupcake.  She had to be held back a little bit.  Didn’t want to miss all the fun!  Thankfully her Mommy and Daddy brought a second cupcake so Cady could have a treat after Avery’s “smash” was done.

Francesca Portrait Shoot in Providence – RI Children Photography

I’m so happy that my daughter, Zoe, has a friend like Francesca.  She is one of my most favorite people in the world.  Francesca is  spunky to say the least and full of energy.  So when it was time to do her pictures I looked for some cool spots in Providence.   I thought the city would fit her personality.  It was definitely an adventure.

Of course Zoe had to be included in these pictures!  Zoe’s Dad and Francesca’s Dad are best friends.  Over the years Francesca’s Mom has become one of my closest friends.  It is no wonder that these two are now as Francesca says “Best Buds”.  It’s in their genes!

We drove all over town to some crazy locations!  Thank you for indulging me, Liz!

Olivia’s Rockin’ Birthday Shoot – RI Portrait Photography

Olivia just turned 7 years old in March.  7!!!  She is definitely a girly girl who fancies herself a rockstar.  When it was time to do her birthday portrait shoot I thought we should girl it up with a little glitz and glamour but with a seven year old kind of edge.  That’s where the hot pink back drop and the twinkle tinsel stars come in!  Just add Olivia and Voila!  Rockstar portrait shoot, but G Rated!

Olivia did this pose with her hat and I couldn’t stop laughing!  Perfect!  You can see that this set is totally Olivia!

Olivia’s Mom made this cool guitar so she could have something to rock out with.

The third outfit change!  Olivia had her birthday party at a roller skating rink!  I love roller skates!  I knew we had to incorporate them into the shoot.

The picture on the right kills me!

Ben and Jonah Birthday Portait – RI Children Photography

Ben and Jonah are brothers who have birthdays that are 2 days apart!  This year Ben turned 5 and Jonah turned 2 years old.  Together they are a bundle of energy!  Chasing these guys around hard work!  These boys have an uncanny talent.  If one is sitting nicely the other one is somewhere else.  When you try to bring them together the brother who was sitting nicely immediately gets up and runs away.  It’s sort of amazing!

I think these pictures are so much fun!  This one of Ben is the first photo I took.  After this the action began…

I brought out some crinkly paper to put on the floor to add a little dimension to the pictures.  As soon as it was out both boys emptied the packages and were throwing it around!  I love these!!

Action shots!

Ben is too funny!

You know why Jonah is so happy?  He just pushed his brother off of his chair!

Jonah was in love with this rocking chair!  I’m surprised he didn’t try to swipe it!

Ben on the other hand was in love with the big ball of crinkle paper!
