Fall Mini Sessions in Roger Williams Park – RI Outdoor Mini Sessions

One of my favorite times of the year is here – Mini session season! If you’ve been following me you’ve probably heard me say it a million times but I truly love these sessions. It’s such fun to reconnect with so many familiar faces each year. Some families have been with me since I started 14 years ago! Watching these kids grow up, capturing new milestones, and freezing these moments in time makes my job that much more rewarding.

For those who haven’t done a mini session before they’re essentially a full portrait session but with a time limit. Every time I sit down to edit these photos I think how much of a deal these sessions really are. If you don’t believe me just take a look at this session from last year!

This year I’m offering mini sessions at Roger Williams Park. The park is massive with so many options for gorgeous backdrops. I can’t wait to see my returning families and meet new ones too!

If you’re thinking about booking, don’t wait too long! These mini sessions fill up fast, and I don’t want you to miss out on what could be your new favorite family tradition.

Outdoor Mini Sessions – RI Portrait Photographer

I started my portrait business with a facebook post for mini sessions 10 years ago. I was working for a photography team here in RI and I thought maybe I would try to do some work on my own. My first mini event was a huge success! Everyone who came to my first event came back to do more sessions with me and some still come to this day. After the first couple attempts I swore to never do these kinds of sessions outside again! The weather was too unpredictable, where would I take a break?! I never thought the possibility of a pandemic make me think otherwise! Spring sessions are coming soon! Again I’m doing two options… Inside mini’s and outside. I thought I would take this opportunity to share a mini I did this fall. You can do so much in a little bit of time!

Family Portrait at Roger Williams Park – RI Family Photography

Roger Williams Park was bumping when I met these guys for their family portrait.  There were photographers everywhere taking family photos.  Fortunately for me I had the cutest clients at the park.  This was my first session with this family.  I want to thank whoever referred me to them on Facebook!  I had a great time taking photos of everyone!  You can’t lose with beautiful scenary and good people!

I’ve known this family for a very long time!  And I don’t mean long time ago like I did the youngest’s cake smash (which I did).  I’m talking way back!  Elementary school back!  Thanks to facebook I’ve been able to reconnect with a lot of old friends including these guys.  As a matter of fact Lauren is the owner of Cake-tique who does all my pretty cake smash cakes!  Obviously the family has grown since I met them at Providence St School.  Mom has been wanting a family portrait of everyone for a while now.  Her thoughtful daughters got a gift certificate with moi and we finally got to do it!  I may be a little biased, but I believe photos make the best gifts!

Family Portrait in Roger Williams Park – RI Photographer

How do you repay your child’s teacher for all they do? I honestly can’t begin to figure out how.  My son was in Pre-K last year and we were so fortunate to have two of the best people taking care of him while he was there.  They snuggled with him at rest time, calmed him down when he got hurt, helped him to be a good friend to his peers and made him love and enjoy going to school.  How can I even begin to say thank you for that?!  These pictures certainly can’t come close, but it’s the least I can do.  Thanks for taking care of my baby, Miss Tracy!
