Colton’s Six Month Old Portrait Session – RI Baby Photographer

I have been thinking.  I think I’m going to officially start limiting my children’s portraits to only families with one 6 month old.  It might hurt my business, but there isn’t an easier time to take photos of a baby!  They can sit up, but they can’t move yet.  Everything is awesome and makes them smile.  It’s a piece of cake!  Colton was no exception to this rule.  He was as pleasant and smiley as a baby could be.  Mom and Dad have already scheduled a cake smash for him later in the year.  I’m sure he’ll be just as happy, but we shall see if he actually sits still for us!

Family Portrait Photography in Rhode Island

This portrait session has been a long time in the making!  Mom contacted me around Thanksgiving.  She had a vision of a family portrait in a rural setting with fun farm style fences.  We put our heads together and came up with some different locations.  Unfortunately we were missing the fences.  One day she found the perfect location with the fences we had been dreaming of.  It was on private property but that didn’t stop her!  She asked permission to do photos on the land and viola!  Here we are after some weather cancellations and lots of planning!   I know how excited everyone was to do these photos and how much research/planning went into this.  Thanks for having me help make the vision a reality!

Brother and Sister Birthday Portrait Session

I first met Alex when he was three months old. We did photos in this exact same location. He was a little lump in his parents’ arms. Three years later here we are again for his third birthday portraits! Now he is running around, talking, and holding my hand (melted my heart!). Yes, Alex did grow up a bit, but there is one other big change that has happened. He now has a little sister who is just turning one year old!  I say it all the time because it really is my favorite part of my job…  What an honor it is to be able to capture these photos of a family that is growing (in years and quantity).  It really is something that means a lot to me and I can’t say thank you enough.  I know mom and dad once mentioned that they’d like to have four kids!  If that still is the plan we will have to come back to this spot with the entire clan when they get here!

Family Portrait Time – RI Family Portraits

I have had the pleasure of photographing this family for the past three years. My first session with them was part maternity session! Now look how big these boys are getting. It’s so nice to be able to go to someone’s house to do photos. It doesn’t hurt that they have a fabulous yard! It’s also so easy for the kids to just run around, play with their toys and be themselves.

Charlie’s One Month Old Portrait – RI Newborn Photography

I recently met up with Charlie’s best bud, Miles, to take his newborn photos. When Charlie’s parents saw them they contacted me about doing some of their new little boy.  Charlie had some great things around the house for us to work with.  He had a vintage wooden box that was made for explosives, diapers with skull and crossbones on them, and some wooden toys made for him by his grandfather.  Add in some major natural cuteness on Charlie’s part and you have a photographer’s dream!
