Goddard Park Extended Family Portrait Session – RI Family Photographer

There’s something special about an extended family session—multiple generations, lots of laughter, and the perfect mix of chaos and love. This crew met me at Goddard Park in East Greenwich, RI. The kids ran wild (as they should), grandparents soaked in every second, and we captured all the sweet in-between moments that make family time so special. This session was a reminder that the best photos are the ones where everyone is just being themselves.

The backdrop gave us endless options for both classic portraits and candid fun. Extended family sessions like these aren’t just about the photos—they’re about freezing time, even just for a moment, so years from now, everyone can look back and remember the joy of being together.

Family Session on Block Island – RI Portrait Photography

Block Island holds a special place in my heart, so whenever I get the opportunity to photograph a family session there, it’s a treat. There’s something fun about hopping on the ferry and knowing you’re about to spend a day in one of Rhode Island’s most picturesque spots.

When I first photographed this family on Block Island, there were only two kids. Now, there are three, and it’s been such a joy to see them every year and watch their family grow. We always start at their vacation rental and then it’s off to the beach! This beach is one of my faves because of the colorful kayaks scattered along the shore.

If you’ve ever considered a family session on Block Island, I can’t recommend it enough. Whether it’s the unique landscapes, the peaceful vibe, or the adventure of getting there, it’s an experience that will leave you with memories as beautiful as the photos themselves.

Narragansett Family Portait – Point Judith Photographer

I always look forward to my yearly Narragansett portrait session with these guys! In my years of photographing this family there are a few things I’ve come to expect when working with them, and let me tell you, they never disappoint. Every year they bring an fun energy that reminds me why I love this job so much. It’s become a bit of a tradition for the kids to end up soaked and laughing by the end of our session. Honestly, it’s one of my favorite parts! Watching their joy as they splash around makes it easy to capture the perfect snaps.

These moments are what make Narragansett family portrait sessions so special. It’s not just about getting that perfect shot; it’s about preserving the personality and heart of a family. This year’s session was no exception, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to document their lives once again.

As a photographer, it’s always rewarding to work with families who trust you year after year to document their memories. For this family, it’s been such a privilege to watch their journey unfold. To think it all started with their oldest son’s newborn session!

Fall Mini Sessions in Roger Williams Park – RI Outdoor Mini Sessions

One of my favorite times of the year is here – Mini session season! If you’ve been following me you’ve probably heard me say it a million times but I truly love these sessions. It’s such fun to reconnect with so many familiar faces each year. Some families have been with me since I started 14 years ago! Watching these kids grow up, capturing new milestones, and freezing these moments in time makes my job that much more rewarding.

For those who haven’t done a mini session before they’re essentially a full portrait session but with a time limit. Every time I sit down to edit these photos I think how much of a deal these sessions really are. If you don’t believe me just take a look at this session from last year!

This year I’m offering mini sessions at Roger Williams Park. The park is massive with so many options for gorgeous backdrops. I can’t wait to see my returning families and meet new ones too!

Another photo session with a family that has become dear to my heart. From first birthday pictures for the oldest to this latest family portrait, I’ve had the privilege of documenting them through the years. What began as a professional relationship has blossomed into a friendship, especially with mom, who I so happy to call a friend.
