Sophie’s First Birthday Cake Smash Portrait in Roger Williams Park

Lots of babies do cake smash portrait sessions, but Sophie had an extra special one. All of her grandparents were in town so her Moms included them in the session. They got to pose for photos and witness the messy finale first hand! Thankfully Sophie was pretty careful with her cake so I was able to get lots of great photos of her. As always Lauren from Cake-tique made us the big cupcake. Because Sophie was pretty neat about her smashing the cake was in good enough condition to bring home. It was a win, win!

Cake Smash at Colt State Park in Bristol, RI

I had the pleasure of meeting this family almost a year ago when little Julia could hardly sit up. Thankfully she was able to sit for photos with the help of big brother and sister. Now here we are celebrating her first birthday with a cake smash portrait session!  Time sure does fly.  Instead of helping her sit up her big brother and sister were there help her balance on the uneven ground at the park.  Of course they also got in some photos as well.  Julia gave us some many smiles that it definitely made my job easy.  She is a happy, happy baby… I mean toddler!!

Family Portrait in Salem, MA – MA Baby Photography

For this family portrait I drove all the way up to Salem. I hadn’t been to Salem since I was a kid. There were so many historic houses, a beautiful waterfront, and lots of Halloween stores.  The Halloween thing really confused me at first then I remembered… It’s Salem, MA!  In my defense we did meet early in the morning.  I sometimes need help waking up.  Thankfully Everett and his parents were up and looking awesome!  We were able to get in some smiles and even a couple of different locations before nap time.  Everett was just adorable.  His smile is a little too much cuteness for me to handle.   He did a great job posing when he was all done pointing at everything.  I couldn’t have asked for a better subject.

Family Portrait Photography in Rhode Island

This portrait session has been a long time in the making!  Mom contacted me around Thanksgiving.  She had a vision of a family portrait in a rural setting with fun farm style fences.  We put our heads together and came up with some different locations.  Unfortunately we were missing the fences.  One day she found the perfect location with the fences we had been dreaming of.  It was on private property but that didn’t stop her!  She asked permission to do photos on the land and viola!  Here we are after some weather cancellations and lots of planning!   I know how excited everyone was to do these photos and how much research/planning went into this.  Thanks for having me help make the vision a reality!

Brother and Sister Birthday Portrait Session

I first met Alex when he was three months old. We did photos in this exact same location. He was a little lump in his parents’ arms. Three years later here we are again for his third birthday portraits! Now he is running around, talking, and holding my hand (melted my heart!). Yes, Alex did grow up a bit, but there is one other big change that has happened. He now has a little sister who is just turning one year old!  I say it all the time because it really is my favorite part of my job…  What an honor it is to be able to capture these photos of a family that is growing (in years and quantity).  It really is something that means a lot to me and I can’t say thank you enough.  I know mom and dad once mentioned that they’d like to have four kids!  If that still is the plan we will have to come back to this spot with the entire clan when they get here!
