Providence Portrait Session – RI Portrait Photography

I met this family a year ago in Bristol for a family portrait session. Last year baby brother was just a little peanut who didn’t like to stand on grass. Now I could hardly catch him! We walked around the east side of Providence taking advantage of all the pretty old houses and springtime blossoms. This seemed like more of a playdate for the kids than a portrait session. They ran around, did so much jumping and made friends with a neighborhood cat! Thank goodness for snacks! It was the only way they would take a break and sit! When in doubt bust out the goldfish!

I had the pleasure of doing these little cutie pies’ photos in Providence a couple of weeks back. This is the second year in a row that I had the opportunity to take portraits of them. They have gotten cuter if that’s possible. Liam’s main objective was to take silly pictures while Silvie was just there to look cute. I think we had success on both fronts. On a side note these kids happen to belong to my husband’s boss so I hope I did a good job! Enjoy!

I’ve said it many, many times here on my blog and really I can’t say it enough. It’s such an honor to be able to capture families as they grow and change. I’ve taken a lot of pics of this family when there was only four of them. Now they have a fifth member that’s been added to the mix. He has a lot to live up to because his brothers really have this photo thing down! I don’t know how they do it, but these guys just can’t stop being cute for the camera. I’ve taken some of my cutest photos of these guys and now there is a third! It must be in the genes because the youngest was hamming it up for the camera. Triple cuteness overload.

I love these photos because I love this family! Ada is my kids’ bud. There was a time when all my son said was “Ada hit me” (even though she didn’t). There was also a time when Ada always talking about the time my son, Max, gave her way too aggressive of a hug (which did happen). Mandy is an amazingly talented graphic designer. She does all the design work for my wedding photography business called M.Studios and does amazing letterpress wedding invitations and birth announcments. Check out her web site or etsy shop! Sophie’s First Birthday Cake Smash Portrait in Roger Williams Park

Lots of babies do cake smash portrait sessions, but Sophie had an extra special one. All of her grandparents were in town so her Moms included them in the session. They got to pose for photos and witness the messy finale first hand! Thankfully Sophie was pretty careful with her cake so I was able to get lots of great photos of her. As always Lauren from Cake-tique made us the big cupcake. Because Sophie was pretty neat about her smashing the cake was in good enough condition to bring home. It was a win, win!
