Family Portrait in CT – CT Portrait Photography

More and more I hear myself saying “I did their engagement session, wedding, maternity, etc photos”.  I must sound like a broken record.  I mention it again and again because it truly is an honor to be able to capture these precious moments for my clients.  The word is overused nowadays but I do feel blessed.  It seems like forever ago that I met Mom and Dad to discuss the possibility of shooting their wedding.  I am so happy they chose to hire me for that amazing day and continue to have me take photos of their family.  When you have that kind of history with people they become more than clients.  I consider them my friends.

Family Portrait at Colt State Park – RI Family Photography

I’ve been taking pictures for this family for quite a few years, but this time there was something different…  A new family member!  Ever since I met this now Big Sister she has had a baby doll at every session.  Also at every session we would talk about how badly she wanted a baby sister.  So instead of a baby doll she got to bring a real baby – a baby brother!  It’s not a sister, but I didn’t hear any complaints.  If this little guy is as spunky as his sister Mom and Dad have their hands full.  He is certainly just as adorable!  I’m always so happy to be able to document families as they grow and this one is no exception!  Congrats!  You guys make some cute kids!!!

Newborn Session with Big Brother in RI – RI Family Photography

I love doing newborn sessions at my clients’ houses.  The setting for the photos is the place you brought your baby when it was time to come home from the hospital.  Nothing could be better!  This little guy is the son of a firefighter.  Dad had all his gear out so we could incorporate it into the session and it worked perfectly for the photos!  Too bad the newborn stage goes by so fast because this baby could have had a successful career in newborn modeling!  He was more than happy to sleep in Daddy’s helmet, on his jacket, and where ever else we put him!  Not only were Mom and Dad on hand for the session, but we also had a new proud big brother who got to miss a little bit of school for the photos.  Bonus for him!

Family Portrait Session in Newport, RI – RI Family Photography

This session was a year in the making.  Last year we tried and tried to get to the beach, but with parents as busy as I am and bad weather we couldn’t make it happen!  Finally we all had a free day AND it didn’t rain!!  Yay!  I’ve done cake smashes for two of these little girls and now look at them!  I can not believe how big they have gotten!!  This family has been letting me take photos of them since I started this little venture.  They have sent so many referrals my way.  Those are two things that mean the world to me and I can not thank them enough!

Family Portrait in Roger Williams Park – RI Photographer

How do you repay your child’s teacher for all they do? I honestly can’t begin to figure out how.  My son was in Pre-K last year and we were so fortunate to have two of the best people taking care of him while he was there.  They snuggled with him at rest time, calmed him down when he got hurt, helped him to be a good friend to his peers and made him love and enjoy going to school.  How can I even begin to say thank you for that?!  These pictures certainly can’t come close, but it’s the least I can do.  Thanks for taking care of my baby, Miss Tracy!
