Micheal’s First Year Portrait – RI Baby Photography

One of Michael’s Aunties was nice enough to give a gift certificate for a first year cake smash portrait with me to Michael’s parents. His other Auntie happens to be the fabulous cake designer from Cake-tique that does all my smash cakes!  It would be sort of ridiculous if Michael didn’t do one.  I’m so happy that he did!  I did his mommy’s maternity photos back when he was still cooking. Now here he is turning a year old!  He is such a happy kid and extremely adorable!

The smiles would not stop!

One year old!!

Harper’s Newborn Portrait Session – RI Newborn Photography

I was very excited when I read the email I got from Harper’s mom. Harper’s parents love music and they thought it would be cool to incorporate records into the shoot for their newborn baby. I was sold at records. We listen to records with my kids all the time. My daughter could work our record player before she could turn on the TV or use the DVD player. So when I read the email I knew that these people were kindred spirits which made me very excited to take these pictures.  Thankfully Harper was pretty content to lay on some vinyl while I snapped away.

I promised my husband that I just brought his Black Sabbath record, but I didn’t use it for the shoot. He was worried I scratched it all up. And there it is displayed prominently in all the pictures. Whoops!!

I love this one!

Big brother, Jack, was reluctant to take some pictures, but we got him in front of the camera. So happy he agreed to it because I love these pictures on him holding his new sister.

Baby Caleb Newborn Portrait Session – RI Newborn Photography

Over the years there has been an explosion of trends and fads in newborn photography.  I’m not saying that I’m above the trends.  Some are fun and very cute, but for me nothing compares to simple newborn photos.  That’s why I especially love these photos of Caleb.  They are all about Caleb and his little hands, feet, face and bum.  Caleb is a beautiful little boy!  I think he is made to model.  He gave me so many facial expressions that I couldn’t narrow it down for this post!

He really is working it!

Lulu is not too keen on this.  It should be all about her!

I love these pictures!  Simple and beautiful.

engagement to wedding to maternity shoot!  I’ve done them all for Mike and Meredith.  Now I get to take pictures of their new baby!  It is an honor to be there for all these big moments.

Kian’s Cake Smash With Big Brother Koda – Bristol, RI

We had to reschedule the first and second time we planned this shoot.  The only problem was the second time we rescheduled it was last minute.  I already picked up the cake for the smash from Lauren at Cake-tique.  Then the rain came!  Ugh!  Thankfully with this being RI the rain left as quickly as it came.  We were able to do the portrait without having to order a new cake!  These boys are as sweet as they are handsome.  They were so easy to work with.  With a little help from Mommy, Daddy and an occasional M&M (you have to do what you have to do) I got so many good shots that I had trouble picking for the blog.  Good luck to Mom and Dad when the time comes to print pictures!  It’s going to be tough.

Such a nice family!  I was so happy to meet them.

How cute is he?

Love this one of the brothers.

I love doing on location cake smashes.

I love the next two pictures so much I couldn’t choose.  That is one adorable little man…

Cutest cake smash pictures ever?

Baby Miles in Narragansett, RI – RI Baby Photography

This is a much-anticipated blog post for me (and Miles’s mommy)!  Miles’s Daddy has been a friend of mine since the fourth grade.  Needless to say he is one of my oldest friends and I love him dearly.  When he got married I gained another friend in his beautiful wife and now they’ve added a new person to the mix of people I love!  Yeah because it’s all about me!  Haha!  Since the family lives in Seattle I’ve only seen Miles in photos.  I’ve been waiting for an east coast visit so I could not only meet him but take his picture.  He might be the cutest baby ever.  You can’t deny this face.  I drove down to take these pictures with my kids in tow.  I was literally shooting pictures of Miles while my son was jumping on my back.  Thankfully Miles was enjoying the show and full of smiles for not only my nutty kids, but his Mommy and Grandma.  Such a happy little guy!  My little ones are still talking about Miles (but they call him “Baby Daddy” because my hubby’s name is Miles as well).  As I was editing these photos there were so many oooh’s and ahhh’s from the whole family behind me along with some “Hi, Baby Dada!”‘s.

Little teeth coming in!  He was not without the drool.

Little dribble there…

I could not pick between this messy one…

And this one!  Very funny.
