Ben and Jonah Birthday Portait – RI Children Photography

Ben and Jonah are brothers who have birthdays that are 2 days apart!  This year Ben turned 5 and Jonah turned 2 years old.  Together they are a bundle of energy!  Chasing these guys around hard work!  These boys have an uncanny talent.  If one is sitting nicely the other one is somewhere else.  When you try to bring them together the brother who was sitting nicely immediately gets up and runs away.  It’s sort of amazing!

I think these pictures are so much fun!  This one of Ben is the first photo I took.  After this the action began…

I brought out some crinkly paper to put on the floor to add a little dimension to the pictures.  As soon as it was out both boys emptied the packages and were throwing it around!  I love these!!

Action shots!

Ben is too funny!

You know why Jonah is so happy?  He just pushed his brother off of his chair!

Jonah was in love with this rocking chair!  I’m surprised he didn’t try to swipe it!

Ben on the other hand was in love with the big ball of crinkle paper!

PS I made the banners in the background!  Getting my craft on!

Tiny Shoot with Kenzee and Kylee – RI Children Photography

Kenzee and Kylee are sisters.  Kenzee is 5 and Kylee is 13.  Kenzee just turned 5 so the mini shoot was also her “year 5 portrait”  I think it is such a good idea to commorate a birthday with a photo shoot.  Every year I take WAY too many pictures of my kids to honor their birthday.

I had a lot of trouble picking pictures for this post.  Kenzee was being SO cute and funny!  I love all of these pictures!  She has a lot of personality and was not afraid to show it.

Did I mention that she is 5 now?

Love this picture of the sisters!  They’ve got some good genes!  So pretty!

Winning some major points with me by wearing red chucks!  My fave shoes in my fave color…

Kylee is 13 so of course she has two best friends.  They came along to take some pics with Kylee.  They were being a little goofy which I always like.  When I was looking at these pictures they made me think of the last line in one of my favorite movies, “Stand By Me”.  The movie ends with “I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?”

Tiny Test Shoot

A couple of times a year I do mini portrait sessions for a discounted price.  On February 12th and 13th I’m doing 20 minute tiny shoots.  I only have 9am on Sunday left so if you are interested in booking that spot let me know.

This session of tiny shoots is all about balloons.  I did some test shots with my own kids.  Here they are…

My son would only sit still for one picture.

Thankfully my daughter is a ham

My Little Ones

Who are the two most photographed kids in the world?  These two kids!  Why?  Because they are mine!  I have SO many pictures of them and I wouldn’t have it any other way.  This is Max and Zoe.  It’s Max’s first Christmas which means this year is his first apperance on our holiday card!  It’s his big debut!  It’s an old hat for Zoe though.  She is totally into getting her picture taken.

My husband loves the tie.  He said that Max looks like “a drunk republican”

Zoe lurking in the back wondering why she isn’t front and center in these pictures..

She’s back in the spotlight!  Max is not too happy about it!  Photo shoot done!

The fabulous Ava

When Ava’s mom, Amanda, wanted some pictures of her beautiful daughter I was happy to help. Ava and my daughter, Zoe, have been bros since the old days of baby Gymboree class. They met and instantly fell in love. Now three years later they are still buds. Because Zoe loves Ava so much I thought it would be fun to bring her along. Probably not the best idea since Zoe wanted to be in EVERY picture with Ava!

This is what I ended up with! They were having a blast!

I finally got Zoe to step aside for a couple of pictures.

One of my faves!  I love pictures of kids being kids.  This is a classic!
