My first session in my new studio! So happy it was this little lady! She was all you could ask for as far as a newborn session goes. I think she would have sat in my studio for hours just looking out the window if we let her. Mom brought lots of cute outfits and her favorite stuffed animal made an appearance in the pictures.
First Birthday’s might be the most special birthdays. Maybe not so much for the birthday girl or boy, but definitely for the parents. Brooklyn was 9 weeks premature. She had to stay at the hospital for over 2 months before she could be home with her family. Mom and Dad wanted these photos taken to not only capture this moment in her life, but to celebrate their healthy baby’s first year! Brooklyn certainly is healthy! She was crawling faster than I could take photos of her laughing the entire time. Hope you had a great birthday, Brooklyn! There will be many, many more where that came from!
It’s so nice to see families grow. It’s one of the best parts of my job. I’ve been doing Hannah’s photos since she was a year old. Now she has a little brother! He was definitely full of smiles and ready for his close ups! I’m sure Mom and Dad will be happy with his first professional photo shoot!! Adorable!!
I just can’t believe all my babies are getting so big!! Well maybe Gabriella and the other kids I photograph aren’t necessarily my kids. Even though it’s such a treat to be able to see all my little people grow up. When I first met Gabriella she was in her Mommy’s belly when I had the pleasure of doing a maternity shoot with her parents. From there we did a newborn session at my studio. Now a year later here we are doing a first birthday cake smash! Cake-tique provided us with the cake as always. Mom and Dad also brought so many great props that were going to double as birthday party decorations! I couldn’t have been happier! They made the cutest lemonade stand for her. Not only that they brought lemons and lots of fun stuff to dress up my set. Cake Smash success!!
One of my most photographed kids and best buddy, Logan, is four years old this year! It’s always a treat for me to see Logan and her parents. I would love to just chat with Mom and Dad, but honestly Logan and I are kind of best friends. While Mom and Dad hang back Logan and I walk around, chat, make each other laugh and take pictures. It’s almost like a play date! Recently Logan told her Mom “Only Alissa takes my picture”. Coming for a little kid that is a 5 star review! We started Logan’s portrait at my studio and then walking around the building. Logan’s Dad is an artist who also has a spot in Hope Artiste Village so we even got to take some pics in there. Sorry other parents! You can not have your photo session in Michael’s place amongst the metal, tools and fork lift!
