Family of Five Sunflower Portrait in CT

Five children in one photo?  Five kids to make look at the camera all at the same time?  Time for the photographer to have a nervous breakdown?  Not at all.  I have taken pictures of these five kids before and I have to say it’s easier than some families of one!  Not only do they listen and look at the camera, but they also take turns carrying my backpak of equipment!  Mom messaged me a year ago about doing this portrait session.  The weather and crazy schedules tried to stop us, but we managed to get in these photos one Saturday morning.  So happy we did!!

Brothers Birthday Portrait in Providence – RI Children Photography

Just stop with the cuteness, Boys!! I mean really. There were several times in the course of this portrait that I had to stop and reassure Mom and Dad that these might be the cutest photos ever taken. Watching these guys interact with each other was truly an adorable sight.  They have birthdays that are pretty close so we are able to do their birthday portraits all in one sitting.  This is the third time I’ve taken their photos and it’s been a treat every time.  Mom always picks out the best outfits.  She didn’t disappoint this time!  Those hats are to die for!

Family Portrait Photography in Rhode Island

This portrait session has been a long time in the making!  Mom contacted me around Thanksgiving.  She had a vision of a family portrait in a rural setting with fun farm style fences.  We put our heads together and came up with some different locations.  Unfortunately we were missing the fences.  One day she found the perfect location with the fences we had been dreaming of.  It was on private property but that didn’t stop her!  She asked permission to do photos on the land and viola!  Here we are after some weather cancellations and lots of planning!   I know how excited everyone was to do these photos and how much research/planning went into this.  Thanks for having me help make the vision a reality!

Brother and Sister Birthday Portrait Session

I first met Alex when he was three months old. We did photos in this exact same location. He was a little lump in his parents’ arms. Three years later here we are again for his third birthday portraits! Now he is running around, talking, and holding my hand (melted my heart!). Yes, Alex did grow up a bit, but there is one other big change that has happened. He now has a little sister who is just turning one year old!  I say it all the time because it really is my favorite part of my job…  What an honor it is to be able to capture these photos of a family that is growing (in years and quantity).  It really is something that means a lot to me and I can’t say thank you enough.  I know mom and dad once mentioned that they’d like to have four kids!  If that still is the plan we will have to come back to this spot with the entire clan when they get here!

Elena’s Newborn Session with Big Sister, Alyssa – RI Baby Photography

It isn’t very often that you walk in a house for your portrait session and get a hug from one of your subjects.  This is actually the first time it’s happened and I will tell you it was a nice way to start!  After Alyssa gave me my hug she told me all about her grandparents, asked me about my cameras, showed me her room and wanted to know what kind of stuff I had at my house.  I’m going to guess that Alyssa doesn’t have much trouble making new friends.  We were buds after a couple of minutes.  Her new sister, Elena, was much less talkative but just as adorable.  She was only a week and a half old when we took these photos.  So precious!

While Mommy nursed little Elena to get her all happy and content for photos I went outside to take some pictures of her big sister.

Yeah, we didn’t have fun or anything…

The elusive toddler and newborn picture is usually really hard, but Alyssa made this the easiest one yet. She did such a great job!

This photo makes me laugh so much! There is so much personality. I’ve been trying to imagine what the girls will say in 20 years when they look at this picture.
