Vanessa’s First Year Portrait with Big Sis Ava

Some girls need a little more glitz than others. Ava and Vanessa certainly fall into this category! These girls were born with a glittery, blinged out spoon in their mouth. When I purchased this backdrop these girls were actually the first people that I thought of. Mom certainly approved and the photo session was booked! Someone had a first birthday coming up so the timing was perfect. As always Lauren from Cake-tique did an amazing job with our cupcake for the smash. Ava was a little jealous that her sister got to eat/destroy all that delicousness. Don’t worry. She did get a taste! (and ps she actually doesn’t even like cake!)

Emma and Nicholas and Lots of Sunflowers – CT Portrait Photography

Emma and Nicholas’s birthdays are fairly close to one another. Every year I do a two in one birthday portrait for them. I’ve been dying to do a portrait in a big sunflower field. With sunflowers being as tall as they are it’s definitely not an option for babies (unless Mom and Dad join in) and most of my “clients” are itty bitty. When Emma and Nicholas’s Mom contacted me to do the birthday portrait I knew they were the perfect fit. The sun was blaring and super bright, but there was a little section of shorter sunflowers in the shade. I couldn’t have asked a better spot. And it was right next to a barn. Score!

Family Portrait in Narragansett, RI – RI Family Portrait Photography

There is a reason I always suggest doing photos after 6pm. The light is amazing! Unfortunately a lot of little ones are getting ready for bed at 6pm.  It’s not a guarantee that they will be in a happy mood for photos.  Luckily Annie and her family were having a little family get away in Narragansett.  There was a time change so Annie was perfectly fine starting our portrait session at 6pm.  The result is amazing (if I do say so myself)!  I love this time of day!

See what I’m saying? You can’t beat this light.

Annie is going to be a big sister in a couple of months!

Annie’s grandparents and aunts live on the east coast so everyone joined us for some family photos

And she is off! Literally the last picture I took of the day.

Kian’s Cake Smash With Big Brother Koda – Bristol, RI

We had to reschedule the first and second time we planned this shoot.  The only problem was the second time we rescheduled it was last minute.  I already picked up the cake for the smash from Lauren at Cake-tique.  Then the rain came!  Ugh!  Thankfully with this being RI the rain left as quickly as it came.  We were able to do the portrait without having to order a new cake!  These boys are as sweet as they are handsome.  They were so easy to work with.  With a little help from Mommy, Daddy and an occasional M&M (you have to do what you have to do) I got so many good shots that I had trouble picking for the blog.  Good luck to Mom and Dad when the time comes to print pictures!  It’s going to be tough.

Such a nice family!  I was so happy to meet them.

How cute is he?

Love this one of the brothers.

I love doing on location cake smashes.

I love the next two pictures so much I couldn’t choose.  That is one adorable little man…

Cutest cake smash pictures ever?
