Big Sister and New Baby Brother Newborn Portrait – RI Newborn Photography

I had the pleasure of making a house call to do some photos of this new baby boy, Victor, and his sister, Luciana.  Victor is only a couple of weeks old and Luciana is almost 2.  Since their birthdays are so close we were able to take newborn shots and a 2 year portrait for sis in the same session.  You would think a shoot with one newborn and one toddler would be crazy, but it was pretty laid back.  When you are dealing with so much cuteness it just makes things easier.

Here is Victor and all of his cute little expressions…

Big sis got to go outside for her pictures.  She is adorable!!

Back inside Victor is doing a lot of the same…

It was a misty day and I happened to have a pretty awesome rainbow umbrella.  It is sort of huge, but Luci was still excited to play with it.

someone loves her little brother

I just love these pictures!

She was so gentle with the baby.

Stella’s Maternity and Family Portrait at Harkness State Park, CT

I couldn’t have been happier when Stella contacted me about doing a maternity/family portrait for her.  I shot Stella and Shane’s wedding at the Eolia Mansion at Harkness State Park in CT.  It is such a beautiful spot and one of my favorite wedding venues.  We decided that it would be the perfect spot for these new updated family pictures. Their daughter, Madison, is going to be 2 years old very soon.  She is just the sweetest thing!  I’m sure her parents had something to do with that.  They are the nicest people you could ever meet.

Three years ago I took a bridal portrait of Stella in this exact same spot.  Now we are onto the next phase in life.  So fun!

They haven’t found out the sex of the baby yet, but we are certain that someone is going to be a big sister!

Alex’s 2 Year Portrait Shoot at Roger Williams Park – RI Children Photography

There aren’t many kids that I’ve taken more pictures of than Alex!  He is one of my best customers and with that title comes rewards, sort of like frequent flyer miles.  Alex’s second birthday fell in the middle of a mini shoot session and the birth of new baby brother or sister next month.  That’s a lot of pictures in a couple of months.  So, as a courtesy to one of my best and favorite customers we did a quick portrait at the park for Alex’s second year photos.  You will be seeing this little guy again in the next month or so when I do a newborn shoot for his new sibling.  Is it a boy or girl?  It’s going to be a surprise which I love!  Can’t wait see everyone again and to meet the new edition!  Thank you trusting me to photograph your growing family time and time again!

Maddie at the Studio – RI Baby Photographer

Here is the winner of my mini shoot give away!  Her Mommy is smart.  Instead of just getting the free mini she upgraded to a discounted portrait shoot.  Not a bad deal.  I really had a great time with Maddie, her mom and grandmother.  These are some very funny ladies.  Maddie was definitely giving us all a run for our money.  She did everything on her terms – just like any good two year old should.  I was recently reading an article about posing.  It said “If your subject is age 0-5 they aren’t going to do anything you say so don’t worry about posing so much.  Just chase them”.  Yeah, that about covers it.

This is Maddie’s favorite hat.  She wears it all the time.  I think it’s great to bring stuff that your child loves to a portrait.  It’s part of who they are at that point in their lives.

Logan’s Second Birthday Portrait Shoot at Hope Artiste Village – RI Portrait Photography

I love this portrait session.  I love it because it is perfectly Logan.  Logan just turned 2 years old.  She is a super toddler.  No, I mean it.  She has a toddler intellect and is wicked smart.  I wouldn’t have been surprised if she broke out the Periodic Table and started to give me a lesson on the elements.  There is only one thing that moves faster than Logan’s brain…  Her feet!    She is a runner!  I chased her all over Hope Artiste Village (the amazing building that my studio is located in).  First we did some pictures in front of the spring set in the studio then the race was on…

And outfit change and we are off…

Who needs headbands?  Logan pulled out three different hair accessories during the shoot.

I love taking pictures of Logan for many reasons.  One being that her parents like to do her photo shoots in fun locations.  Last time we did Logan’s pictures in Downtown Providence.  For this shoot we decided on Hope Artiste not only because it’s where my studio is located, but Logan’s Dad was one of their first tenants!  He still has his art studio in the building.  It made it the obvious first choice.

She is just so cute!  And don’t get me started on the dress!  I’m in love with the ensemble.

Doesn’t she look so happy and full of energy in all these pictures?  That’s why I love them all so much.

Logan’s theme song should be “Born to Run”
