What a treat it was to do Stephanie’s maternity session! We picked a gorgeous location, the lighting was amazing and mom and dad to be were adorable. How could I miss? Stephanie brought so many cute things from the baby shower to incorporate into the shoot – a banner with Olivia’s name on it, little shoes she’ll be wearing and a cute bird’s nest favor from the shower. I will be seeing them soon for a newborn session when this little girl decides to make her grand entrance into the world! Can’t wait to meet her!
Steve and Leanne were shopping for baby items at the fabulous store, Bellani Maternity, when they spotted my photos on the wall. Luckily they contacted me about doing a maternity. I’m lucky because it really was a pleasure to meet this lovely couple and be able to document this exciting time in their lives. Spending time with them I know two things for sure. The first thing is that they love each other, really love each other. The second is that they are SO excited to have this little boy and be parents. Whenever I do a maternity shoot I like to ask some questions to see what’s been going on during the pregnancy. It makes the photos a little more personal. Steve and Leanne have been doing renovations on their house for pretty much the duration of the pregnancy. This is where they are going to one day live with this baby that’s cooking. The baby is almost ready, the house is almost ready. It’s nice to be able to capture this moment when (and where) so many great things are about to happen.
Our second stop was this cool dock close by…
Ending with my favorite!!! Love it!
I couldn’t have been happier when Stella contacted me about doing a maternity/family portrait for her. I shot Stella and Shane’s wedding at the Eolia Mansion at Harkness State Park in CT. It is such a beautiful spot and one of my favorite wedding venues. We decided that it would be the perfect spot for these new updated family pictures. Their daughter, Madison, is going to be 2 years old very soon. She is just the sweetest thing! I’m sure her parents had something to do with that. They are the nicest people you could ever meet.
Three years ago I took a bridal portrait of Stella in this exact same spot. Now we are onto the next phase in life. So fun!
They haven’t found out the sex of the baby yet, but we are certain that someone is going to be a big sister!
