2011 Rewind :: Newborns – RI Newborn Photography

I have to say looking at all the family portraits that I posted yesterday made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.  Today’s post is no different.  After the family comes together the newborn baby makes it that much stronger.  I’ve had the absolute pleasure of documenting the new edition for some families.  I love all the stages and ages for different reasons.  What I love about doing a newborn shoot is that one moment when for just a split second they look right into my camera lens.  Those are always “the one” picture from the portrait session.  I also love just being around them.  They are only new for a short, short period of time.  I love watching them stretch and yawn, but above all I love listening to them breathe.  Being new to air and all they sound like they have been smoking for the past 20 years.  Maybe not so cute for an adult, but when an 8 pound cutie pie is doing it it’s adorable.

So in this rewind we are checking out some of the highlights from my newborn shoots of 2011.  Tomorrow…  Lot of babies.

Baby Sam – RI Baby Photography

I had the pleasure of meeting little Sam and his Mom at their beautiful house last week.  Sam is definitely a laid back kind of fellow.  He was pretty content to do whatever, lay where ever, and wear whatever.  I think he understands the value of cute baby photos and how happy they would make Mommy.  Already a Mama’s boy!  Nothing wrong with that!

I just love this red sweater one piece!

Beautiful baby + Beautiful floors = Happy photographer

Love this one!

I love these pictures of him in his crib.  He is just having a blast with his awesome mobile.

He started cracking up while wear this adorable jester style hat.  Very appropriate!

Ready for a nap!

Baby Sarah in Newport, RI – RI Baby Photographer

About a year ago I had the pleasure of photographing Jen and Brad’s wedding at Castle Hill in Newport, RI.  This year I headed to Castle Hill to see them again, but this time to photograph their beautiful baby girl, Sarah!  She was just about a month old.  I don’t think I’ve ever photographed a baby this age who loved the camera more than Sarah.  She was mesmerized by it, always staring right into my lens and even smiling.  Add the cuteness and it made my job way too easy!

She has good-looking parents so that always helps.

See what I mean?  Absolutely loving the camera!

I love her expressions in these two pictures.

I couldn’t pick a favorite between the next three photos so I’m posting them all.  They are all too cute to not share.

DiMartino Family Portrait in West Warwick, RI – RI Family Portrait Photography

I was contacted a couple of months ago by my old friend, Gina, about doing a family portrait.  It’s not everyday that the family is together.  With siblings in California, New Jersey, and Kentucky it’s rare that they are in the same room together.  I was excited to do it because I’ve known Gina since elementary school and went to school with all of her brothers and sister at some point in my life.

Here is the newest edition to the family!  Lisa and John had this little guy two weeks before the portrait shoot.  Meet Michael!!

The whole crew!

The little guy on the right, Eric, wanted to eat and was not afraid to let everyone know.  Thankfully I got a picture before the tears started.

If you graduated from West Warwick High School in the 90’s you know at least one of these guys!

We lost Eric!

Yup, Eric is all set with this picture stuff.

Finally happy smiling!  We can thank Daddy for that.
