Alex’s 2 Year Portrait Shoot at Roger Williams Park – RI Children Photography

There aren’t many kids that I’ve taken more pictures of than Alex!  He is one of my best customers and with that title comes rewards, sort of like frequent flyer miles.  Alex’s second birthday fell in the middle of a mini shoot session and the birth of new baby brother or sister next month.  That’s a lot of pictures in a couple of months.  So, as a courtesy to one of my best and favorite customers we did a quick portrait at the park for Alex’s second year photos.  You will be seeing this little guy again in the next month or so when I do a newborn shoot for his new sibling.  Is it a boy or girl?  It’s going to be a surprise which I love!  Can’t wait see everyone again and to meet the new edition!  Thank you trusting me to photograph your growing family time and time again!

Meredith and Mike’s Maternity Shoot in Newport, RI – RI Maternity Photography

I first met Meredith and Mike when they were shopping around for wedding photographers.  When the left the office I thought “I must do that wedding!”  Thankfully they felt the same way!  I had the pleasure of taking their engagement and wedding photos.  Fast forward…  well a couple of months (these guys were quick!) and here we are doing a maternity shoot!  I was so happy when Meredith told me that she was pregnant because A) babies are awesome and B) I knew I’d get to see one of my favorite couples again!  I can’t wait to meet this baby!  One thing is for sure it will be an honorary 80’s kid.

What better way to end a maternity shoot than some Ben and Jerry’s?!

Matthew and Jack’s Newborn and New Brothers Portrait Shoot

It’s no secret that I love Matthew.  He is two years old and quite the charmer.  Look at him!  Who wouldn’t love him?  Now he has a partner in crime that may rival him in cuteness – A brand new brother named Jack!  I was very excited to see the family again and was especially looking forward to meeting the new edition.  With Mom and Dad’s help we were able to get some photos of the brothers together.  There is something that all kids do that always cracks me up.  They will sit there with their new sibling until they are done.  And when they are done they just get up even though there is a fragile little baby on their lap.  That’s why is very important to have someone actually hold the baby.

Seriously?!  He is just so cute!

I am thankful for the high ceilings because this is not the first time this has happened.

Jack’s big debut!

He is so adorable!  I love my job because I get my baby fix in without having to have another baby!

Brothers!

Maddie at the Studio – RI Baby Photographer

Here is the winner of my mini shoot give away!  Her Mommy is smart.  Instead of just getting the free mini she upgraded to a discounted portrait shoot.  Not a bad deal.  I really had a great time with Maddie, her mom and grandmother.  These are some very funny ladies.  Maddie was definitely giving us all a run for our money.  She did everything on her terms – just like any good two year old should.  I was recently reading an article about posing.  It said “If your subject is age 0-5 they aren’t going to do anything you say so don’t worry about posing so much.  Just chase them”.  Yeah, that about covers it.

This is Maddie’s favorite hat.  She wears it all the time.  I think it’s great to bring stuff that your child loves to a portrait.  It’s part of who they are at that point in their lives.

Logan’s Second Birthday Portrait Shoot at Hope Artiste Village – RI Portrait Photography

I love this portrait session.  I love it because it is perfectly Logan.  Logan just turned 2 years old.  She is a super toddler.  No, I mean it.  She has a toddler intellect and is wicked smart.  I wouldn’t have been surprised if she broke out the Periodic Table and started to give me a lesson on the elements.  There is only one thing that moves faster than Logan’s brain…  Her feet!    She is a runner!  I chased her all over Hope Artiste Village (the amazing building that my studio is located in).  First we did some pictures in front of the spring set in the studio then the race was on…

And outfit change and we are off…

Who needs headbands?  Logan pulled out three different hair accessories during the shoot.

I love taking pictures of Logan for many reasons.  One being that her parents like to do her photo shoots in fun locations.  Last time we did Logan’s pictures in Downtown Providence.  For this shoot we decided on Hope Artiste not only because it’s where my studio is located, but Logan’s Dad was one of their first tenants!  He still has his art studio in the building.  It made it the obvious first choice.

She is just so cute!  And don’t get me started on the dress!  I’m in love with the ensemble.

Doesn’t she look so happy and full of energy in all these pictures?  That’s why I love them all so much.

Logan’s theme song should be “Born to Run”
